Gillen Wood is the Robert W. Schaefer Professor of Liberal Arts and Sciences with appointments in the Departments of English and Earth Science and Environmental Change. At iSEE, he served as Associate Director for Education and Outreach (2018-22). He co-founded the Certificate in Environmental Writing (CEW), which he directs, and edits its flagship publication, Q Magazine, dedicated to student environmental writing. He is the author of six books, including a recently completed “eco-trilogy” from Princeton University Press on nineteenth-century natural history and its relevance to the climate crisis.
